Bengaluru Police Register Murder Case After Woman's Body Found In Jigani House

The Bengaluru Police have registered a murder case following the discovery of the highly decomposed body of a 30-year-old married woman inside a rented house in Patalamma Layout, Jigani, on the outskirts of the city. The body of the victim, identified as Akshatha, was found by authorities on June 20.

The police initially registered a case of unnatural death when the body was first uncovered. However, they subsequently upgraded the investigation to a murder case after receiving the detailed findings of the post-mortem report. Investigators are now actively searching for Akshatha's paramour, identified as Nana Saab, who has gone missing and is the primary suspect behind the killing.

According to the police, Akshatha was originally from Ilkal. She had married her husband, Krishna, in 2014, and the couple had two children together. Krishna currently works as a carpenter in Bagalkot, while Akshatha was employed at a local saree manufacturing factory in Ilkal.

While working at the factory, Akshatha met Nana Saab, who was employed at the same establishment as a weaver. The two developed an illicit relationship and eventually decided to leave their hometown. They relocated to Jigani in November last year to live together.

Upon arriving in Jigani, the couple secured a rented house in Patalamma Layout. In order to obtain the accommodation, they introduced themselves to the landlord as a married couple.

Police investigations revealed that the living arrangement had grown tense, and the two had started fighting frequently over the last few days before the body was discovered. The suspect allegedly locked the doors of the rented house from the outside and fled the scene.

A police officer confirmed that the victim's husband, Krishna, has been officially informed about the incident. The Bengaluru Police are continuing their efforts to locate and arrest the missing suspect, Nana Saab.
