Bengaluru Police Seize 107 Vehicles and Verify 290 Rowdy Sheeters in Mass Crackdown

Bengaluru City Police conducted a massive joint law enforcement operation across the KG Halli, Pulakeshinagar, and JC Nagar sub-divisions, verifying 290 rowdy sheeters and seizing 107 vehicles. The coordinated drive was carried out across the border limits of the East Division and the North Division to monitor local offenders and maintain public safety.
A large force of 416 police personnel, including Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), inspectors, and various other officers, participated in the extensive operation. The police teams visited the residences of history sheeters and rowdy sheeters across the targeted neighbourhoods. During these visits, officers kept close tabs on the current activities of the offenders and warned them against engaging in any unlawful activities in the future.
As part of the community-level policing, the personnel also interacted directly with members of the public. Officers questioned suspicious individuals who were found in the area without any valid identification or a legitimate reason to be present in the locality.
Traffic and vehicle safety enforcement formed a major part of the joint operation. Officials checked a total of 844 vehicles across the sub-divisions. Out of these, they seized 107 vehicles, which included 105 two-wheelers and two autorickshaws.
The police teams also targeted substance abuse and drug peddling in the area. Officers checked 20 suspected Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) peddlers. Following these inspections, they booked 26 cases specifically for NDPS consumption.
The operation also led to a wide range of other legal actions. Officers registered 84 petty cases, 85 cases under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), and 75 cases under the Motor Vehicles Act.
In addition to the street patrols, the teams inspected local commercial establishments. Officers visited and inspected 23 bars and restaurants, along with approximately 30 hotels in the sub-divisions. During the operation, the police also successfully executed one non-bailable warrant (NBW) and one proclamation.
