Bengaluru’s 350-Metre Magrath Road Revamped With Wider Footpaths and Better Drainage

Bengaluru city authorities have redeveloped a 350-metre stretch of Magrath Road in central Bengaluru, transforming it into a redesigned urban street. The infrastructure upgrade, located between Brigade Road and Commissariat Road near the Garuda Mall corridor, is currently nearing completion.

The project focuses on delivering smoother driving conditions for motorists and enhancing urban connectivity in this busy commercial area. A key feature of the revamp is the widening of the footpaths, which aims to provide improved facilities for pedestrians.

In addition to the pedestrian improvements, the project includes a complete overhaul of the local drainage system. The improved drainage system is designed to provide better drainage management along the 350-metre stretch, reducing waterlogging and ensuring a more durable road surface.

According to details of the project, the modern urban revamp addresses the dual needs of vehicular traffic and pedestrian safety. By widening the footpaths and upgrading the road infrastructure, the city aims to create a more integrated and accessible environment near the Garuda Mall corridor.

With the work nearing completion, local commuters and pedestrians on Magrath Road will benefit from smoother driving conditions, better drainage, and wider walking spaces. The 350-metre stretch represents a focused effort to upgrade essential street infrastructure in central Bengaluru.
