Bengaluru Woman Dies of Gas Geyser Leakage at Kodagu Homestay

A 27-year-old woman from Bengaluru died of asphyxiation due to a poisonous gas leak from a geyser while holidaying at a homestay in Somwarpet, Kodagu. The fatal incident occurred on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Vinuta, was visiting the district as part of a weekend getaway. She was employed at a Bengaluru-based healthcare-solutions firm.

According to reports, Vinuta and 13 of her colleagues from the healthcare-solutions company had arrived in Kodagu on Saturday. The group was on a scheduled two-day trip to the region.

The tragedy unfolded at their homestay in Somwarpet, where a poisonous gas leakage from the gas geyser led to her asphyxiation and subsequent death.
