Blinkit delivery executive arrested for stealing women's innerwear in Hoysala Nagar

The Indiranagar police have arrested a 31-year-old delivery executive after he was caught on a hidden camera allegedly stealing women’s innerwear from a house in Hoysala Nagar, Bengaluru. The arrest of the accused, identified as Abdul Hussain, came after two resident women set up a surveillance trap on their terrace to catch the person responsible for the repeated thefts of their clothing.
According to local police officials, the two young women residing in the Hoysala Nagar house had noticed a bizarre and recurring pattern regarding their laundry. They observed that their undergarments, which they regularly hung out to dry on the terrace of their building, were frequently disappearing during the night.
The thefts followed a highly unusual sequence. The victims noticed that a garment stolen on a previous night would suddenly reappear the next day, while a newly washed undergarment would simultaneously go missing from the clothesline. Suspecting that they were being deliberately targeted by an intruder, the two women decided to take action and installed a hidden camera on the terrace to identify the culprit.
The surveillance camera successfully captured the intruder during the early hours of July 2. At approximately 3:00 AM, the footage showed a man entering the terrace premises. The camera captured the suspect returning an undergarment that had been stolen the previous night, taking a different one, and engaging in obscene acts with the clothing before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, the victims approached the local authorities. The Indiranagar police launched an investigation using the recorded CCTV footage. Through their subsequent inquiries, officers successfully traced the suspect and placed him under arrest.
Hussain, a native of Assam, had reportedly moved to Bengaluru three years ago in search of employment. At the time of his arrest, he was working as a delivery partner for the quick-commerce platform Blinkit. The Indiranagar police have registered a case, and officials confirmed that further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
