Businessman Vaishak found dead in actor Krishi Thapanda's R.R. Nagar apartment

On the night of June 24, a Bengaluru-based businessman named Vaishak was found dead after allegedly taking his own life inside the R.R. Nagar apartment of actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Krishi Thapanda.
The R.R. Nagar police have registered a case of unnatural death and commenced an investigation. Vaishak, who was a resident of Girinagar, had reportedly been staying at the apartment in R.R. Nagar for the past few days.
According to the police, Vaishak was alone in the apartment at the time of the incident. Shortly before his death, he had placed a phone call to Thapanda. She was unable to answer the call as she was away in Nelamangala. Vaishak also sent text messages to her indicating his intention to end his life.
After seeing the messages, Thapanda alerted Vaishak’s family members, who rushed to the flat. However, by the time they reached, Vaishak had already passed away. Investigators stated that they did not find any suicide note in the house, nor did they find any video message on his mobile phone.
The R.R. Nagar police registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) case. A senior police officer clarified that no allegations have been made against any individual in connection with the death, and there is currently no mention of suspicion against anyone. The investigation was initiated following complaints filed by both Vaishak's father and his wife.
Earlier this year, Vaishak had been arrested in connection with an alleged extortion and threat case involving businessman Aravind Reddy, and was later released on bail. Police had arrested him after a letter demanding several crores of rupees was sent to Reddy. That case was linked to a dispute between Reddy and Thapanda, which had previously led to Reddy's arrest in November 2025 on charges of stalking and harassing the actor.
Following the incident, Thapanda arrived at the crematorium to pay her last respects to Vaishak, but she was reportedly asked to leave by members of his family.
