BWCC Chief Jagadeesha G Meets Citizen Groups to Address Bengaluru West Civic Issues

On Saturday, Bengaluru West City Corporation (BWCC) Commissioner Jagadeesha G met with the Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.Pac), Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Bengaluru West to discuss pressing civic issues and strengthen cooperation for sustainable urban development.

The meeting was organized to build a stronger dialogue and cooperation between the local civic administration and active citizen groups that are committed to improving urban governance. It provided a collaborative platform for RWAs and CSOs to directly discuss their problems, share suggestions, and offer practical insights on key civic issues.

During the interactive session, community representatives raised several critical civic concerns that affect daily life in the neighborhood. The primary issues discussed included solid waste management, the elimination of garbage blackspots, pothole repairs, the desilting of drains, and the ongoing maintenance of footpaths.

BWCC Commissioner Jagadeesha G acknowledged the various grievances raised by the citizen groups and informed the attendees that proactive measures are already being taken on a priority basis. He emphasized the civic body's responsibility to act swiftly on these matters.

"While we face several everyday challenges, it is our responsibility to address them with urgency and commitment," Commissioner Jagadeesha G said. He assured the citizen groups that the BWCC will carefully consider every concern raised during the meeting and address them through a combination of immediate, medium-term, and long-term interventions.

Furthermore, the Commissioner noted that the BWCC is focusing on strengthening the financial capacity of the Corporation. He explained that enhancing financial resources is a critical step to ensure sustainable and effective governance over the long term.

The interaction sought to foster civic empowerment, enhance transparency, and promote citizen-led solutions to achieve sustainable urban development across the locality.
