Chikkabanavara College Student Tejaswi Found Dead After Messaging Boyfriend

A final-year degree student identified as Tejaswi died by suicide in Bengaluru after sending a message to her boyfriend on Monday afternoon. The deceased was a student at a private college in Chikkabanavara, and her body was recovered in the early hours of Tuesday morning following a search operation coordinated by the Sadashivanagar police.
According to the police, the incident began on Monday afternoon when Tejaswi left her college campus. Shortly after leaving, she sent a message to her boyfriend indicating her intent to end her life.
Upon receiving the message, the boyfriend immediately contacted Tejaswi’s family to inform them of the situation. Her mother then alerted the Sadashivanagar police, prompting an immediate search operation. Police personnel and family members launched a joint search to locate the student.
Despite their efforts, her body was recovered in the early hours of Tuesday. A preliminary investigation conducted by the police revealed that Tejaswi had visited a bakery shortly after leaving her college on Monday afternoon.
Investigators spoke with Tejaswi's family members, who shared details about her recent life. The family told the police that there had been an issue at her college about two weeks prior to the incident. According to the family, this issue was allegedly related to her relationship with her boyfriend.
The Sadashivanagar police have registered a case and are actively investigating the death. As part of the ongoing investigation, the police are questioning the boyfriend to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to Tejaswi's death.
"We are investigating every angle of the case, including the events leading up to the incident. We are recording statements from those concerned, examining CCTV footage, and carrying out further inquiries as part of the investigation," a police officer said regarding the progress of the case.
