Eshwar Khandre Writes to KPSC Seeking Results for 247 PDO Posts

In Bengaluru, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister Eshwar Khandre wrote a letter to the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) on Wednesday, urging the immediate announcement of exam results for Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) posts.
The minister's intervention aims to address ongoing delays in the recruitment process for key administrative roles within rural governance. The examinations for these crucial positions were conducted between September and November 2024.
In his official communication to the KPSC, Minister Khandre requested the announcement of results for two distinct categories of PDO positions. This includes 97 PDO posts reserved under the Kalyana Karnataka quota, as well as an additional 150 PDO posts for the rest of Karnataka.
According to the minister, the prolonged delay in declaring the examination results has had an adverse impact on local administration. Khandre stated in the letter that the delay in recruitment creates hindrances for the implementation of rural development projects across the state.
To resolve these administrative bottlenecks and fill the vacant positions, the RDPR minister urged the commission to immediately announce the results, paving the way for the selected candidates to begin their work in rural development.
