Google Selects 20 Indian AI Startups for 2026 Accelerator at Bengaluru Campus

Google has officially selected 20 Indian artificial intelligence startups for its 2026 Google for Startups Accelerator India program, which will feature a three-month in-person bootcamp at the Google Ananta Campus in Bengaluru. The announcement, released on July 8, 2026, marks the 10th anniversary of the technology giant's startup accelerator initiative in India.

The 20 AI-first startups were chosen from a highly competitive pool of more than 2,000 applicants from across the country. The program is designed to support early-stage companies that are utilizing artificial intelligence to drive innovation in key sectors of the Indian economy.

According to Google, the selected startups in this cohort span several critical industries, including legal, healthcare, climate, finance, and cybersecurity. These companies are actively leveraging advanced technologies, such as agentic workflows and physical AI systems, to build their platforms.

As part of the accelerator program, the participating startups will receive comprehensive, equity-free support from Google. They will also gain direct access to Google’s latest artificial intelligence tools, including Gemini, Gemma, and Imagen, alongside Cloud TPUs to power their operations.

The program structure includes a three-month in-person bootcamp hosted at the Bengaluru campus, where founders will receive one-on-one mentorship from Google experts. Following the bootcamp phase, Google will provide ongoing guidance to help the startups refine their products and prepare them for scaled deployment.

The strategic impact of this initiative is aligned with broader national goals. By fostering these early-stage companies, Google aims to advance India’s AI Mission, build sovereign capabilities, and contribute to a resilient digital economy.

Preeti Lobana, the Vice President and Country Manager of Google India, previously inaugurated the Google Ananta Campus in Bengaluru, which will now host the upcoming cohort of entrepreneurs.
