Heavy Monsoon Rains Lash Bengaluru as IMD Forecasts Week of Wet Weather

Heavy monsoon rains continued to lash Bengaluru on Sunday, with several parts of the city witnessing intense evening showers.

The downpour has raised immediate concerns among residents over waterlogging and road safety across the affected areas. The intense Sunday evening showers followed a previous spell of heavy rain on Friday night, which had already impacted several road stretches in the city.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon is currently advancing through Karnataka. Due to this advancement, the IMD has forecast that Bengaluru is expected to receive more rainfall over the next one week.
