HSBC Partners With Prestige Group For 1.2 Million Square Foot Outer Ring Road Campus

Financial services organisation HSBC has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with real estate developer Prestige Group to establish a massive new office campus on Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. The new facility, named 'Prestige JRC Signature Towers', will span over 1.2 million square feet and is set to become one of the banking giant's largest campuses in India.

The development is designed to bring together HSBC employees who are currently working across multiple scattered locations in Bengaluru. By consolidating its workforce into a single location on the Outer Ring Road, the bank aims to facilitate greater collaboration, connectivity, and efficiency among its various teams.

Georges Elhedery, the Group Chief Executive Officer of HSBC, stated that India is one of the most important talent centres in the world and continues to be a key market for the financial institution. Elhedery explained that bringing colleagues together on a single campus would help the bank move faster, collaborate more closely, and continue developing expertise and talent to provide the best support for its customers.

The new campus is being planned around modern ways of working, combining high-quality workplace infrastructure with vibrant spaces for collaboration. Suzy White, the Group Chief Operating Officer of HSBC, said that the campus design will support the future of work at HSBC by bringing together modern workplace design, accessibility, sustainability, and colleague well-being. White added that the bank's ambition is to create a high-quality environment that supports its customers and businesses.

Currently, India is home to HSBC's largest Global Service and Technology Centres, which employ more than 40,000 people who support the bank's global operations. These Bengaluru-based centres have evolved into critical capability hubs, playing key roles in areas such as technology, operations, risk management, financial crime compliance, data and analytics, digital transformation, and enterprise-wide innovation across HSBC worldwide.
