IPS Officer MN Anucheth Assigned Dual Roles in Karnataka Administrative Reshuffle

The Karnataka state government has executed a significant administrative reshuffle in Bengaluru, assigning dual charges to Indian Police Service (IPS) officer MN Anucheth.

Under the new orders issued on Wednesday, Anucheth, who previously served as the deputy inspector general of police (DIGP) for recruitment, has taken over as the DIGP and commissioner of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

Anucheth replaces Hemanth M Nimbalkar in the DIPR role. The state government announced that Nimbalkar is currently awaiting his new posting.

In addition to his new responsibilities at the DIPR, the government has given Anucheth the concurrent charge of commissioner of the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department.

This dual assignment follows the transfer of IAS officer Kumar THM, who was previously serving as the commissioner of the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department.

With these changes, Anucheth will manage the responsibilities of both the DIPR and the sports department. The reshuffle represents a major shift in the state's administrative setup, bringing key departments under the leadership of the IPS officer.
