Karnataka Voter List Revision Begins With Door To Door Enumeration Until July 29

The Election Commission has commenced a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Karnataka, launching a door-to-door enumeration drive to update voter lists. The door-to-door exercise began on June 30 and is scheduled to continue until July 29, allowing officials to gather necessary voter details directly from residents.
This initiative is part of a major effort by the Election Commission to ensure that electoral rolls are accurate and fully updated. Alongside Karnataka, four other states and union territories—namely Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Delhi—are also undergoing the Special Intensive Revision process during the same timeline.
Following the completion of the door-to-door enumeration on July 29, the next phase of the revision will begin. The Election Commission will publish the draft electoral rolls on August 5. This draft publication will allow citizens to check their registration status and verify that their information is correct.
After the draft phase, the final electoral rolls for Karnataka and the other participating states are scheduled for official publication on October 10. This final list will serve as the updated voter register.
As part of the Karnataka SIR, authorities are urging citizens to return their voter enumeration forms on time to prevent any delays in the registration process. To assist residents in completing the paperwork, the Election Commission is providing offline form-filling guidance. This offline support is designed to help citizens navigate the process with ease, ensuring that the enumeration forms are filled out correctly and returned within the designated timeframe.
The overall goal of the Special Intensive Revision is to enable the comprehensive updating and finalization of voter lists, ensuring that all eligible citizens in Karnataka and the other four states are properly registered to vote.
