Siddhant More and P Unnikrishnan Launch Sunday Discussion Space in Bengaluru

Two Bengaluru residents, Siddhant More and P Unnikrishnan, have established a new Sunday discussion space in the city to promote egalitarian dialogue. The initiative was created as an alternative to launching a traditional podcast, aiming to shift the power dynamic away from one-sided information sharing.

The idea for the project developed during a four-hour conversation between the two co-founders. More had initially suggested starting a podcast, which prompted a deeper discussion about the limitations of that medium.

Unnikrishnan explained the reasoning behind rejecting the podcast format, noting that such platforms often feel one-sided because one person speaks while the other listens.

Instead of adopting a traditional broadcast model, the co-founders decided to create a dedicated space where people can meet and converse as equals. The main goal of the Sunday gatherings is to ensure that no single participant holds all the power through information.

By establishing this open platform, More and Unnikrishnan hope to encourage balanced, multi-sided conversations among residents. The weekly meetups focus on fostering direct engagement and equal participation.
