SWR GM P Ananth Inspects KSR Bengaluru Coaching Depot and Reviews Railway Projects

South Western Railway (SWR) General Manager P Ananth on Monday inspected the coaching depot near the parcel office at KSR Bengaluru station and reviewed coach maintenance operations carried out at the facility.
During the visit, the general manager inspected the sick line and the intermediate overhauling (IOH)/SS-1 line. These tracks are designated for scheduled overhauling and regular maintenance activities for both Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches.
Ananth also inspected the facility's stores, staff quarters, amenities, and broader depot infrastructure. According to an SWR statement, he interacted with the depot staff to gather feedback on daily maintenance operations and existing working conditions.
Following the inspection of the coaching depot, the general manager held a review meeting with railway divisional and construction officers. The session focused on the progress of ongoing new railway line projects, infrastructure development works, and the current status of land acquisition across the division.
Senior officials present during the inspection and review meeting included Bengaluru Divisional Railway Manager Ashutosh Kumar Singh, SWR Principal Chief Engineer Sunil N Maske, and Bengaluru Additional Divisional Railway Managers Parikshit Mohanpuria and Praveen Kataraki.
Chief Engineers (Construction) Ashutosh Mathur and Pardeep Puri, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Shubhesh Verma, Bengaluru Coaching Depot Senior Coaching Depot Officer Rao Utsav Dipakbhai, and other senior officers were also in attendance.
